Hoti Hoteis inaugurates Meliá São João da Madeira in the historic Palacete dos Condes Dias Garcia
On December 12, the Hoti Hoteis Group inaugurated the Meliá São João da Madeira Hotel, a four-star property resulting from the rehabilitation of the historic Palacete dos Condes Dias Garcia, as part of the Revive programme. The project represented a total investment of €16 million and restores one of the city’s most emblematic buildings, now adapted to a modern and functional hospitality offering.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several authorities, including the Minister for Economy and Territorial Cohesion, Manuel Castro Almeida, the Secretary of State for Tourism, Trade and Services, Pedro Machado, and the Mayor of São João da Madeira, João Oliveira, as well as the management of the Hoti Hoteis Group, including Chairman Manuel Proença and CEO Miguel Proença.
The hotel features 93 rooms and suites, two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), a wellness centre, and several meeting and conference rooms, catering to both leisure and business guests. Food and beverage play a central role, with Restaurante Conde and Bar Chapelaria offering dining experiences open to the public.
According to the Hoti Hoteis Group, Meliá São João da Madeira is “ideal for leisure stays or business trips at any time of the year”, standing out as a new hospitality benchmark in the Aveiro region.
